Leaning Into It

A lot of people, they do this goofy pose where they pretend to hold the tower up. Me, I know a classier pose... Taken on a trip to Pisa with fellow Swattie Isa St. Clair '11 (taking picture), August 2009.

Sharing the XC with Spain

Seth Green '10 and Andrew VanBuren '10 admire La Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona, Spain, adding their own masterpiece to the mix.  The cathedral is famous for being the unfinished work of the prolific artist Antoni Gaudi, but it is now more complete than ever.

Posing in Poseidonia

One of the most ancient buildings which has been graced by the XC: a temple in the Greek colony of Paestum/Poseidonia in southern Italy. Approximately 2500 years old. August 2009.

XC Etruscan-Style

Those Etruscans may not know how to build walls (see rubble piles in picture) like the Romans, but they sure know a lot about the importance of rituals. I was probably inadvertantly mimicking some mystery cult pose. Taken at the excavation on Poggio Colla, near Florence, Italy, July 2009. --Donnie

XC Goes Archaeological

Throwing up the XC in Pompeii (Mt. Vesuvius in the background). I had some random tourist take this picture. I think he thought I was a bit odd. Little did he know he was taking part in transcontinental phenomenon. August 2009. --Donnie

A Right Proper XC Toss

Christ Church, Oxford. Hallowed halls of holy history. Posh postern of postgraduate ponderings. Here graced with a symbol of true honor: the cXc. Photo taken on the occasion of Drew's ('10) visit to Donnie's ('07) Oxford haunts, October 2008.

Drew, Maggiano's, Catholics, and Protestants

Andrew Van Buren '10 finding a little bit of home, or at least family style, while in N. Ireland (Fall 2008).

The country's always neutral, but the XC is always good

Matt Schiller '07 getting high with the XC at the top of Mont Pilatus in Switzerland. It must be the current altitude record for the XC.
